An IT manager with more than three decades of experience, Dennis Slater is versed in a variety of commercial SQL database server and NoSQL products as well as programming languages. He also has extensive experience with big data operations and transitioning business operations from data centers to the cloud. Dennis Slater most recently served as a system and data architect at Hitachi Rail STS USA, Inc., where he led a development team tasked with creating an enterprise system for North American freight railroads.
Before joining Hitachi Rail in 2015, Mr. Slater held IT leadership positions with a diverse range of companies in sectors including manufacturing, logistics, health care, and financial services. He has also worked in management roles for startups such as InfoSage, where his efforts helped facilitate a strategic partnership with IBM and a successful sale of the company.
Dennis Slater has also served in IT management roles for FreshDirect, Alcoa, Anheuser-Busch, and Ford, among other companies. He is particularly skilled at business integration and has a proven track record of completing projects on time and within budget.
